Accommodation

Your home base in Nanyuki is chosen for safety, community connection, and comfort — so you can rest well and focus on your placement.

Where you stay

Most volunteers stay in homestays or shared volunteer houses in Nanyuki. Living with a host family or other volunteers is part of the cultural exchange — meals, conversation, and daily life included.

What to expect

  • Clean, secure accommodation selected by our local team
  • Meals typically included (three per day on programme days)
  • Shared facilities depending on the house or homestay
  • Standards that are good by local norms — not always identical to home
  • A supportive environment alongside other volunteers where possible
